Ava Grace

....so most of you know by now that I had my baby...she was born 31st July weighing 6pd 7ounces...my smallest yet.

Ava was born with Down Syndrome. Although it was unexpected, having grown up around a few Down Syndrome kids, I was excited for the difference she would make to our little family. She was in NICU for 2 weeks...she's now home with us and doing well, although there will be ongoing medical checkups with her heart condition. We are very excited to have her as part of our little family and her big brother and sister absolutely adore her! I've included two of my favourite photos of her - unfortunately by the time she came home she was too alert to do one of those nice peaceful sleeping shots that you see of newborns!! She wasn't having a bar of it!

She is BEAUTIFUL!!! What a sweetie pie. Congratulations!! I am so glad that all is well. Thanks for sharing more of your beautiful pictures. You are AMAZING! I wish you lived here so you could photograph our family.

Oh, I have been telling my husband that we are moving to Australia (I am scared of where our government is heading) and Australia comes to mind.. probably because of "Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day".

She is soooooooooo cute! Our twins were in the nicu for a long time too, that is so hard. We have some heart issues over here too, we have a wonderful cardiologist that we love. Hope all is going well with her at home. Can't wait to see more pics!

Those pictures are so cute! Congratulations. You guys must be doing something right to get her. Some friends of ours have 11 kids and their youngest has downs. She is so loved...and the mom wanted to adopt another baby with downs syndrome because she has loved her so much. I will have to tell you the whole story someday. Also, you are an incredible photographer.
