...a bit of rome...

ok so the rome pictures are finished...
rome was interesting...when you ask people if they enjoyed rome - there are always mixed opinions...i'm guessing it's because if you've been to any other city in italy - rome will probably be your least favourite.

we chose rome because we actually wanted to take a trip down to the amalfi coast and go to pompeii - but as it turned out we didn't get there. despite the disappointment in not being able to get down there, we still enjoyed ourselves.

i absolutely loved the piazza's - every alley way seemed to have quaint little places to eat. the husband had a large pizza for lunch every day...still can't believe he ate the whole thing!

we had gelato's nearly every day - our favourite little gelato place even had profitterol mousse!!!

one other thing i loved about rome was the paintings just set up on easels in the piazza's

all up rome was pretty fascinating, we enjoyed our time there. i can't wait to go back to go back and see more of italy!

Sals, your pictures are amazing!! Did you use a tripod for the night shots? And which lens are you using?
Sorry for the 20 questions. (Feel free to email the answers if you want/ have time/ don't want this to be in your comments on your blog! cankiel@gmail.com)
It looks like you had a great trip. I am a little jealous...Okay, more than a little. :) Maybe someday I'll do my own trip around the world. Can we stay with you? :)

It looks amazing!

It's one thing I'd love to do before I die. I hope I live to 110 because it's going to take me that long to save my pennies!!

i look at your lovely photos and think to myself, that's one more place i'll never see. yep, i'm jealous. and i don't even know what profitterol mousse is, but it's probably good... unless it tastes like milo. :)

Whats wrong with Milo? Did you ever have it with a Tim Tam slam? No, I didn't think so ......

excuse me, the only time i've ever had milo i was instructed by a certain someone to shove a spoonful in my mouth. whilst i was reflex gagging because what i tasted was totally unexpected, someone snatched the milo can away in a huff because instead of praising the stuff i was hacking it up in dry huffs. so i can only assume it was nasty, though it would probably go down easier in milk.

and tim tams are good. too bad no one will airmail me a pack for christmas...

Am i right in assuming it was Sally that tainted your would be love affair with milo? If that is the case then it is only right send send you more along with Tim Tams. Merry Christmas :)
Sally, you know what you have to do!

I love your pictures I love Rome it was actually my most favorite city in Italy. I spent two days there and wished it was two weeks. We picked my brother up from his mission there. I would love to go back someday.

I LOOOOOOOVE Milo. Mostly because they are the close relative of Tim Tam Slams, which really---make the world go round.
